Tom Hanks becomes a plasma donor to help fight COVID-19

Well-known American actor, producer, director Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson became plasma donors to help in the study of the coronavirus COVID-19 and the development of a vaccine.

So, earlier, the couple had been ill with a coronavirus in Australia. After two weeks of treatment and self-isolation, they returned to the United States.

Now the actor has posted on his social network photos of how he donates blood for plasma, which will be used in research on coronavirus.

“Here is a plasma bag that was taken last week. Such a package! After the paperwork is as easy as taking a nap,” the actor shared his feelings.
