Fraggle Rock Movie: Joseph Gordon-Levitt will star in the Live-Action

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is going to produce and star in coming-soon Fraggle Rock film, reports Variety. The live-action motion picture will be based on Jim Henson’s adored muppets. It is actually has been developing for almost a decade!

The 34-year-old Levitt stated that the first screen characters he loved were creations of Henson: first on Sesame Street and later – on Fraggle Rock.

The Dark Knight Rises star assured that those characters make everybody laugh and sing, but despite this, they are multifaceted, wise and surprising. He stressed that this description is for all of them: from Oscar to Grouch, to Yoda and to the Fraggles. The actor assures that he loved Henson’s works during all his life. Since he will collaborate together with Lisa Henson, Levitt considers that Jim would have loved their creation. The star is very grateful and delighted to create something with New Regency on the project.

The adventure series started on HBO 32 years ago and lasted till 1987. It was focused on adorable cave creatures which were named “Fraggles” and dealt with a second species called “Doozers” who were very dedicated to their work.
